Soledad S. Reyes is one of the pioneer Tagalog literature scholars and author of the landmark book "Nobelang Tagalog 1905-1975: Tradisyon at Modernismo."  Currently she is the editor and annotator of the 100 Nobelang Tagalog project of Filipiniana.net. She is a well-rounded researcher, having written and edited several books and anthologies and over a hundred scholarly articles and book reviews. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, among which were Manila Critics' Circles Award for outstanding achievements in Theory and Criticism  (1984, 1991, 1993); Best Editing Award for Lina Flor: Collected Works in 2001; Writers' Union of the Philippines Award for Criticism (2000); Quezon Award in Humanities (1997); and Gawad Balagtas for Criticism (1996). An educator and a Ph.D. holder in Philippine studies at the University of the Philippines, Sol is presently a full-time professor at the Interdisciplinary Studies Department and member of the University Research Council of the Ateneo de Manila University.

Roberto T. Añonuevo, Filipino poet, was received into the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards Hall of Fame in recognition of his award-winning literary pieces from Talaang Ginto: Gawad Collantes (1990, 1993, 1999); Panorama Poetry Contest (1993); and Diyaryo Filipino (1990). He is currently the President of UMPIL, the largest formal group of Filipino writers. Among his masterpieces are Paghipo sa Matnag-tubig, his first book published in 1994 by the De La Salle University, and Pagsiping sa Lupain published by the Ateneo de Manila University.
